Leading v. managing in today's workplace

In today's workplace, there are leaders and managers. Although these titles are used interchangeably, the roles and outcomes are different. 


What is leading? 


  • It is seeing the value in others, helping them to grow and evolve into the person that will bring them to their purpose. 


What is managing?


  •  It is making sure all the goals, tasks and objectives are accomplished for the team or department.


How can you be an effective leader?


  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of team members and employees.

  • Allow creativity and growth.

  • Build relationships based on authenticity.

  • Develop communication skills. 

  • Create work environments that are conducive to growth and development.
